About
Belize, Rio Dulce & Bay Islands |
 |
Belize is everything a cruising
yachtsman could wish for. It boasts the second longest barrier reef
in the world, world renowned fishing and diving sites and an incredible
variety of sea life.
Our cruising
grounds in Belize alone encompass over 3,000 square miles with literally
hundreds of islands and three major offshore atolls. If you are
familiar with the Bahamas or the Virgin Islands this area will seem
vast and untouched; no crowded anchorages, no competing for access
to moorings, no making reservations to hole up in a protected bay.
This is truly the ultimate cruising experience. The warm crystalline
waters make it a perfect haven for snorkeling, SCUBA diving, fishing
and photography. Sail the dependable trade winds behind 200 miles
of protective barrier reef or venture outside in the "blue"
to one of the spectacular offshore atolls. |
You
will enjoy a seemingly endless string of tropical islands, most
of them uninhabited, white sand beaches, hidden coves and great
exploring opportunities. See more than 70 types of coral and over
400 species of fish. There are colonies of manatee as well as countless
varieties of resident and migratory birds. If you like cruising
you’ll love Belize and the western Caribbean. If you haven’t
experienced it yet there’s no better place to start. And Belize
is just the beginning!

Rio Dulce, Guatemala is
truly unique. West African, mestizo and indigenous people inhabit
this rainforest river system. Sail between towering limestone cliffs,
visit riverbank hot springs, see flocks of parrots and giant macaws,
hear the howler monkeys and enjoy the lush tropical vegetation. Rio Dulce
offers a variety of interesting activities including, hot waterfalls,
horseback riding, birding, and visits to the fabulous Maya ruins
at Tikal. |
Rio |
Bay
Islands, Honduras is just another hop away and equally as diverse
and interesting. Bay
Island people are mixed western European, African and indigenous
people. This is a great SCUBA diving destination and each of the
five islands has its’ own personality. Sailing is fun and
there are many sheltered bays and coves. You can visit three countries
with three completely different cultures in a 100 mile radius. When
planning your next adventure trip consider Belize, Rio Dulce, Guatemala
and the Bay Islands of Honduras.
